Data collected and purposes

• Wholesale form: shop name and email, to send the catalogue and follow up on a partnership. Legal basis: your consent (ticked box).
• Orders (email, Instagram, markets): name, contact details, delivery address, purchase history, to process, deliver and invoice. Legal basis: performance of the contract and accounting obligations.

No newsletter, no advertising, no sale of data.

Retention

• Wholesale prospects: 3 years after last contact, then deleted.
• Customer correspondence (emails, messages): 2 years after the last order, unless a dispute is ongoing.
• Invoices and accounting records: 10 years (Belgian accounting and VAT rules).

Recipients and processors

• Web3Forms (web3forms.com): forwards wholesale form submissions by email.
• Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting, technical logs (IP address) kept briefly for security, and cookieless audience measurement (see below).
• Carriers (bpost, Mondial Relay): name and address, for delivery only.
• Payment providers (SumUp, Payconiq / Wero): data needed for payment, processed under their own policies.

Transfers outside the EU rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

This site uses no cookies and no advertising trackers. Audience is measured with Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless tool that sets no persistent identifier: visits are counted in aggregate and anonymously (page viewed, referrer, country, device type), visitors are not tracked across sites and cannot be identified. No consent banner is therefore required. Fonts are self-hosted.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure or portability of your data, object to processing or withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@aucoindufeu-bougie.be. Reply within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.

Terms of sale

1. Scope

These terms apply to sales of candles and scented hangers between Au coin du feu and a consumer, by email, Instagram message or at a market. Wholesale sales follow the terms in the wholesale catalogue. The version online when the order is confirmed applies.

2. Products

Each piece is poured and sanded by hand: slight variations in colour, marbling or shape are normal and not a defect. Photos are for illustration.

3. Prices

Prices in euros, Belgian VAT included. Delivery costs are extra and stated before the order is confirmed. The price confirmed in writing is fixed for that order.

4. Orders

The order is concluded once Au coin du feu confirms availability, total price and lead time in writing (email or message). Indicative making time: about one week.

5. Payment

SumUp (card or payment link), Payconiq / Wero, or cash on pickup or hand delivery. Making or shipping starts after payment. Without payment within 7 days of confirmation, the order may be cancelled.

6. Delivery

• Shipping within Belgium by bpost or Mondial Relay, at the customer's expense.
• Free pickup at the studio in Etterbeek, by appointment.
• Hand delivery in Brussels, by arrangement.

Products travel at Au coin du feu's risk until you receive them. Lost parcel: reshipped or refunded. Damaged parcel: report it as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, with a photo of the parcel and product.

7. Right of withdrawal

For distance purchases you have 14 days from receipt to withdraw without giving a reason, by emailing hello@aucoindufeu-bougie.be. Return the product within 14 days, unused and in its packaging, at your own cost. Refund (including standard delivery costs) within 14 days of receiving the return.

Exclusion: products made to your specifications or personalised. A candle that has been lit or used beyond what is needed to inspect it may have its refund reduced by the loss in value.

Purchases at a market or at the studio are on-premises sales and carry no right of withdrawal.

8. Warranty

You benefit from the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity (articles 1649bis et seq. of the former Belgian Civil Code). Report any defect as soon as possible. Safety instructions (never leave a lit candle unattended, 4 hours maximum, trim the wick) must be followed.

9. Disputes

Contact us first, we will find a solution. Otherwise you can turn free of charge to the Consumer Mediation Service, North Gate, boulevard du Roi Albert II 8, 1000 Brussels, consumerombudsman.be. Belgian law applies, Brussels courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumer protection rules.
